A question for readers comes from David Whitaker in Norfolk. He writes, 'My late mother was a nanny in her early days and worked for different families and travelled around the world. Among her effects I found a small badge on which there is a silver child with arms outstretched and on a blue blackground. Around the edge there is a dark blue band on which is written The Nursery World. I wonder why the badge was made. I would be grateful for your help as it might shed some light on Mum's early life.'
