The first confirmed cases of measles in Scotland
Nursery World,
28 March 2002
The first confirmed cases of measles in Scotland in two years have occurred in Fife in the past few weeks. One was a pre-school child who had not received the MMR vaccine, another was a primary school child who had been immunised with one dose of MMR vaccine and the third was an adult. A further 19 cases were suspected as Nursery World went to press. The Fife NHSBoard is urging parents whose children have not been immunised against MMR to obtain the vaccine from their GPs. Anyone who suspects they have measles should contact their GP surgery.
