Glasgow's first School Travel Plan Resource Pack

Nursery World, 27 May 2004

(Photograph) - Children at Battlefield Primary School in Glasgow teamed up with Scottish Olympic athlete Sinead Dudgeon (above) to launch the city's first School Travel Plan Resource Pack. With help from the city council, pupils have developed a new plan for walking or cycling to school. The £3m Scottish Executive-funded initiative aims to reduce car use and get children to become fitter over the next three years. Meanwhile, children across the UK are taking part in walk-to-school week, including pupils in Northern Ireland for the first time. Photo ATOM
