Family and state held to account on children

The relationship between the state and the family in supporting children's well-being is to come under the scrutiny of a new national commission. The National Family and Parenting Institute and NCH, with support from the Joseph Rowntree Foundation, launched the commission on 1 June, at the same time as opening the consultation paper, 'An inquiry into the relationship between the state and the family in the upbringing of children'.
