Every school in Northern Ireland has been linked up to Broadband, providing more than 350,000 children and staff with access to e-mail, messaging and conferencing facilities, the Department of Education said last week. Launching the C2K/Hewlett Packard Data Centre, which links up individual school networks, education minister Barry Gardiner said, 'C2K is the most ambitious project of its kind in the UK, and one of the most comprehensive in the world.
