Special placements

Nursery World, 24 June 2004

Childcarers can gain first-hand experience working with children who have special needs through summer placements being arranged by SNAP Childcare, the agency specialising in care for children who have a disability or disorder. SNAP is organising mother's help positions for childcare students or newly-qualifieds, for a minimum of four weeks at Pounds 100 a week. Both the mother's help and the parents will sign an agreement with SNAP so everyone's role is clear, and parents complete an assessment that could go well with a CV. For details ring Sally Britton at SNAP on 020 7729 2200.
