Children to build on nairobi link-up

Children from an out-of-school club in rural Angus (left) have established a link with children from a similarly rural area in Nairobi and are enjoying exchanging news via e-mail. Community education worker, Joe Brown, explained, 'We use our webcam and broadband connection and although our sound cards are not suitable, the children can type their messages and see each other at the same time. It was a great breakthrough the first time. The children at the other end were particularly excited. The technology is more taken for granted over here.'
