The minimum wage for adults will rise to £5.05 an hour in October, up from £4.85. Hourly pay for workers aged 18 to 21 will increase from £4.10 to £4.25. The Government has also provisionally scheduled a further increase in the adult minimum wage rate to £5.35 in October 2006.
