The National Occupational Standards for Children's Care, Learning and Development consist of 87 units of competence of which 22 are imported from Playwork, Health and Social Care, Management and Leadership, Teaching Assistants, Learning and Development. The remainder were specifically developed for the new standards, although some build closely on units in the previous Early Years Care and Education Standards. The Standards can be downloaded form the National Day Nurseries Association website at www.ndna.org.uk
