Actulite is a new desk light designed to provide 'the same balance as natural daylight', according to the manufacturer. This lamp uses a patented multi-layer polarising lens that filters out glare and provides eight per cent more contrast than conventional artificial light. According to research, a one per cent increase in contrast provides a 15 per cent increase in visual perception, so the Actulite aims to achieve a 120 per cent increase in visual perception or 'seeing power'.
