I am a student at Plymouth University in my final year of studying for a BA in Early Childhood Studies. My research project is on whether smacking a child is a positive form of discipline and what effect it has on the child in the short and long term. I am also looking into the pros and cons of corporal punishment, and whether it would be a good idea to re-introduce it into schools, considering society's problems.
