More than a third of all children under the age of six fail to eat fruit and vegetables every day, according to a report by the charity Cancer Research UK. Questionnaires sent to 22 nursery schools in London examined the eating habits of more than 550 children. Scientists found that the more parents ate fruit and vegetables, the more likely their children were to have a similar high intake.
