DfES appoints team for Foundation Stage

A team of early years specialists has been appointed by the Department for Education and Skills to work with local authorities and Early Years and Development Childcare Partnerships in providing support, training and continuing professional development for effective Foundation Stage practice. The group of 12 regional directors will begin work next month under Lesley Staggs, who became the first-ever national director of the Foundation Stage when she took up the post last October.
