'Light touch' plan boosts tax credits

Parents employing nannies across the UK may be able to claim some financial help with their childcare costs from the Government under a new 'light-touch' scheme to be launched next year. A Treasury spokeswoman said that the aim of the scheme, announced in last week's Budget, is 'to make it as easy as possible for carers to be accredited while ensuring the safeguarding of quality'.
