School meals

School meals are to receive a £280m funding boost to improve quality over the next three years, most of which will go directly to schools and local education authorities to ensure they spend a minimum 50p per pupil per day for primary schools and 60p for secondary schools. A School Food Trust will be set up with £60m of the funding to give independent support and advice to schools and parents.
