Short notice given of vetting changes

Nurseries are now able to choose one of three companies to carry out Criminal Records Bureau checks in changes to the arrangements for vetting staff in registered daycare. Under the new system, which came into force on 3 October, Ofsted will no longer carry out checks on nursery staff. It will continue to carry out checks on the registered person and the person in charge.
