A £1m nursery has been opened by Kids 1st in Hexham, Northumberland, on the former site of Hexham hospital, registered for up to 110 children. The innovative premises were designed by north-east architects Dewjoic and offer impressive views of the Tyne Valley. The new setting includes activity spaces, sensory rooms, before- and after-school care facilities, a large multipurpose room, a parents' room and a fully landscaped garden.
