Smooth crossing

Road safety awareness is being brought home to young children in puppets and games, says Crispin Andrews A small white glove puppet grins at the class. At once, the children notice two cartoon hands gripping each other tightly on its front. TQuick, it's Handy-Hold! whispers one girl, grabbing her classmate's hand. Others do the same, and before long the whole of the Foundation Stage at Hanover Primary School are looking proudly up at the lady in front of them.
