Catherine Gaunt, 22 September 2011, 3:44pm

The Department for Education has confirmed that the final version of the revised EYFS will be published at the end of March or early April 2012.

EYFS REVIEW - update on the timetable for the revised early years framework

The Government's response to the consultation on the revised EYFS will be published in December.

Early years practitioners have just over a week left to respond to the department’s consultation on the revised document, which ends on Friday 30 September.

Early years stakeholders can also expect a short month-long consultation before the end of the year - likely to coincide with the Government's response in December - which will be targeted to seek the sector’s views on some specific aspects of the revised framework.

The new EYFS will be implemented in September 2012.
