On 25 July the Lancashire chain is launching its first holiday club at its Little Achievers @ Headstart Day Nursery in Preston and is also offering a before-and-after school club in September. Both services will be available from 7.30am to 6pm and cater for up to 14 children between the ages of four and 11.

The nursery's lead professional Deborah Whittle said, 'Parents' feedback has made us aware that there is a real need for a holiday club and before-and-after school care and we are working closely with them to provide the kind of flexible service that is needed. With the holiday club, children can attend for as little as a couple of hours up to as much as five days a week.'

Children will be able to take part in a range of creative acitivities, board and computer games, baking and cooking, field games and outdoor sports. The nursery will also follow themes such as football and music, and organise outings each week.

Rosy Apple Childcare currently operates five nurseries spread across Preston and Blackburn. www.rosyapplechildcare.com
