Scotland's new disclosure scheme for working with children delayed

10 November 2010, 12:00am

The introduction of a replacement vetting and barring scheme in Scotland has been postponed until February 2011, following advice from its programme board.

The Protecting Vulnerable Groups scheme had been due to be launched at the end of this month. It is designed to replace and improve on Scotland's current disclosure arrangements for people who work with vulnerable groups. For details visit www.infoscotland.com/pvgscheme.
