Council consults on cuts to children's centres

18 August 2010, 12:00am

The London Borough of Lewisham is considering making 'radical' cuts to its early years services, Nursery World has learned.

The council, which says it spends £10m a year on children's centres, said that it may have to reduce the number of children's centres and the range of services available for vulnerable families. The council has launched a public consultation on where cuts should be made.
