I am looking at childhood dyspraxia for my research project and wondered if anyone has a child/children in their settings with dyspraxia and if so what support the children get.

Hi I am an occupational therapist for children, until recently working in Gwent. I have now left to pursue a career in early years care and education. However the children I came across were offered varying levels of intervention based on need, these were either individual or group sessions at the children's centre, individual sessions at home, school or nursery or a programme implemented by the parents or school. Many children had assitional SEN support in the classroom for part of the day.
It may also be useful for you to note that health professionals also use Developmental Co-ordination Disorder (DCD) rather than Dyspraxia as a diagnosis as there are strict diagnostic criteria which prevents labelling as opposed to diagnosis.
