hiya. we've just finished our fathers day cards (abit early i know!). i work with 2-2.5's. we have done the cards in our keyworker groups, 1 groups cards were a drawn and cut out car, the children painted theirs in whichever colour they chose and fingerpainted black wheels, then i helped them to glue it on to card. the other groups card is a football cut out on card (joined at the top so it opens) and the children chose their own colours to collage it. were not sure what to do for a little present tho. for mothers day we did bookmarks, but not sure for fathers day! all ideas welcome! hope this helps anyway

Hi Emma,
I always used to get stuck on cards...i used to do thegold old hand painting, cut it out and stick it to the front of the card on a piece of folded card so that it waved, or, if i was feeling a bit more arty, i'd stick it inside on some folded card so that it was a pop up. A bit more time consuming and it does depend on how many u have to do. Why not just let the children do free hand drawing and label it "Daddy and Me". If your doing presents, then a photo frame with the child's picture in it always went down well with my parents, especially if they didnt know you have taken the photos. If your not doing presents, why not have a Dad's picnic at nursery and invite all the dads in, make them tea and have a party??

Anyhow Good luck and have a great time

thanks for all the help. we've got the prezzi's sorted this year, we've made clay models with them and let them decorate them with paint and glitter.

hey! we finished ours last week! 9like to get in early)

like most people we've cut out cars and the children have done car-track roller printing on them and then stcuk buttons on for the wheels!

A couple of our children haven't got fathers so we've done their grandads/mums cards instead and put 'on this special day'
