Is anyone else doing the DCE course? If so how are you finding it? Im in my first year and am loving it. Ive just completed my 1st observation and I know there are loads more assignments come, but Im loving every minute of the course - particularly the placements.

I didn't do the DCE but i have recently completed the BTEC National Diploma. Let me tell ya - you like it in the beginning! By the end you just want to get out there and start earning some money by putting things into practice.
Have fun

Hi I completed my DCE 3 years ago and found the course very valuable and rewarding. I have learnt a lot from the course and now i am currently at University furthering my studies and doing my degree in early childhood studies. The good thing about the course was that your career options are open. You can become a childminder, nursery nurse, work abroad, go into teaching, social work and nursing with this course.

Good luck with your course and let me knwo how you get on.

I really enjoyed the course, and found it quite easy and very interesting.

My cousin is currently doing the course at the moment but is findind it hard!

If anyone has anyquestions or needs any help feel free to ask!

Hello,
I am taking the DCE at a college in Blackpool. I am the only male on the course out of about 19 students in total. I love the course, observations are getting easier and out of 3 assignments handed in I have enrt myself one A and 2 B's.
Placement is realy good, seeing how the children develop is realy good and I find it helps with the work in college. I am in year 2 at the moment.
Bye,
Jamie-Lee xx

hi ive just finish my DCE corse an i have reeli enjoyed it.
one tip i can giv u is not to leave work until the last minit! aim to to work completed BEFORE your exam, as after that, you will want to be applying for universities and jobs, and believe me, you dont want to have loads of work on your shoulders xx
