If you can get any voluntary work at all in amongst your studies - even if it's just for a short time each week, then it will all stand in your favour, and will also allow you to use them as referees. Many local authorities have staff banks. Perhaps you could join one. You are able to state what hours/days you can do, and you'll be able to earn some cash at the same time. It will also show that you are flexible and can adapt/respond to new situations quickly. On the whole, you will be snapped up with your qualification, but any experience you can get will give you the edge.
