Hi Trolleydolly,

My daughter is wanting to apply as an air stewardess any advice is welcome.

I too think this course is a waste of money. Ring or look at the web site for your local aurthority, early years education team. They offer advice and sometimes funding for courses. Ours offers levels 1 and 2  with placements and pays for child care costs. Your LA will also tell you about childminding.  Ring your local nursery and ask them for advice. Some will take you on and train you with a day/evening at college if you can not go to college full time. You may be able to help out unpaid on your days off  at a local nursery, school or play group to gain experience. It may be best to wait and gain a better known qualification after you start your family and leave your job than have a qualification that won't help you in the long run.

Hi I would look at the NEC website, (national extention college) I did the DPP with them many years ago and this is a recognised L3 qualification, they also do many other childcare courses (think the website is ww.nec.ac.uk), to give you an idea NVQ3 usually cost alot more than £299, so the ncc is a baragain but is it actually "what it says on the tin" !!!!!! Good luck!!
