would you phone them back about the job

hi all

i applied for this job 4 weeks ago and got the job to start , the next day after they gave me the job i was asked to bring in my refrences . i bought them in and when i phoned the following week to see how they doing with them i cant seem to get hold of the manager i tried all that week and gave up should i try them again or does that make me seem desperate

no definately try again, infact i would go in to the place and say that you would like to know what stage the process is at.

I agree with Sandra, though it makes you wonder what kind of setting they are running if they appear to be this disorganised!!
