I am doing a action research 6,000wds and was thinking to do early years outdoor play and the focus is gardening our children have outdoor play but there is no gardening for them to do and i want to improve the gardeing area for outdoor I am really stuck on a hypothesis for my dissertation. Any ideas!!!!!!!

Not all research projects have a hypothesis. A hypothesis is a prediction of what you expect to find together with an explanation of some phenomenon.
You might find it easier to pose a research question or series of questions.
Such as:
How can I include gardening into our out door play curriculum.
What are the cost implications.
What are the pro's and cons.
What happens when I include gardening.

can not be a question I need an idea on what to have for my dissertation on garding

This is the second time you have asked this question in a space of a week, 2 people have now tried to encourage you to think about it putting forward a starting block. If you are still struggling to think of a hypothesis then I suggest you perhaps change you dissertation. Harsh I know, but people on here are not going to write it for you!

Your idea is a good idea, and even though outdoor play is quite a broad area you have chosen specifically to focus on one particular area of gardening which is sensible. You now need to break it down and think about what it is you want to do and how you ae going to do it, maybe have three outcomes that support your aim of your dissertation that you can actuallly measure , meaning at the end of your action research you can actually evaluate the evidence. Have you thought about applying different childhood approaches, ie: Reggio Emilia, Forest Schools etc. to your outdoor experiences.Have you heard of learning through landscapes? What course are yiu studying?

I am also doing my research project too and when I put a question to my tutor she told me a statement reads better than a question.

can you not turn your question into a statement? whats the question?
