There is a discussion group on yahoo for people who work with, and care about children, and want to share ideas about activities, topics, trainings, anything really that helps us provide a better service for children.

I think it is a great site. Once you have joined the group you can post messages and questions on the site and answer anyone elses questions.
When you join if you decide to, you can have any messages that are posted on the site sent directly to your own email address. You can then respond to the message and send it back.
Hope to talk to you on the site soon.

You can also set up polls on subjects about children for other people to vote on. There is one poll on the site at the moment about if you agree or disagree with smacking children.
There is also a list of links to other related websites, members can add websites they feel are useful to the list.

Have you had the childs teeth looked at? sometimes children will bite if they have toothache or earache.
Does the child have any other needs?

Hi
I think this child probably deserves some time spent on observing him. A child of 4 who is still exploring with his mouth may have other problems.

Have you heard of a condition called pica? Its where the child has an appetite for non-nutritive substances. I've known two children with it, one was quite partial to wood and the other enjoyed washing powder!! Its possible this child has the condition hence he mouthing unusual things
