I totally agree that in many Nurseries there seems to be degree of 'bitchiness', AKA talking behind other peoples backs or slagging them off. People may argue that this is down to the fact that this profession is made up mainly of women and that it is inevitable.

I agree that not everybody is going to get along at all times, and we are not all going to see eye to eye, but how hard is it to bite your tongue?

as a manager of a creche, i have a lot of staff. I find that the majority of the bitching is by the youngest staff and it's genrally because they all want to be the most popular who the children love coming to, and thay all seem to want to be the best at their jobs, even if that means being a bitch. One solution is to give the ring leaders responsibility they soon learn that theres's more to the job.
