Work sheets

I am a chilminder and I am always looking for new ideas of activities to do with the children I look after. Our local school nursery uses work sheets that state on the bottom 'Photocopiable Nursery Projects' and they are really what I am looking for. I am thinking of asking the Nursery Teacher where she gets them from, but thought I'd try you guys first! Any ideas?

Nursery world definately do offer a good range of worksheets, but in the foundation stage with which I work, from nursery to reception we don't use worksheets! Occasionally, if you are minding chidren between 3 and 4, a writing pattern is good to monitor pencil control, but personally, I would recommend that you avoid them. The teaching is too formal. Why not invest in a range of activity books? Learning through play and experimentation. It's up to you, but it is the way forward!

Thanks for your response Jenny
To be honest, I was just thinking of something quick and easy for the children to be doing whilst I'm sorting dinner/tea. The worksheets that my local nursery have look ideal. But what I've started to do is trace some that I have that my daugther done when she was at nursery and aim to scan them on the computer then I can print them off as required. Thinking about it, I think I will start a new topic called 'Your Favourite Activity for Minded Children' !! It's always good to pass on ideas with others to use.
