Hi, I used to live in Egypt and there we made lanterns for children during Ramadan because they hang lanterns out in the street during Ramadan in preparation for Eid. Ramadan is a month of fasting from sunrise to sunset and this year it will begin around October 15th. At the end of Ramadan there is a 3 day holiday called Eid when people celebrate the end of the fast.
