Well said Debs! I've been saying for years that the Govt. should start recognising Nursery Nurses etc for the hard work gaining the qualifications that they HAVE to have. There HAS to be some recognition for the hard work we do both on the "shop" floor and gaining the "must have" qualifications!

I know this is not particularly about wages but at the moment I am furious and wonder what is the point of working hard and gaining the CACHE Diploma. I have been working in the Nursery at the same primary school for 8 years. We have recently had a new head who has decided to have a change around. He thinks it would be good for my professional development to move to reception and is doing so against my will. Not only this, but he has said that NNEB no longer exists in Cardiff and I am merely an Teaching Assistant. What do others think about this?
