I'd like to echo your statement regarding childcare workers having faith in their abilities.
I was recently in a nursery with a 14 month old girl who was having great problems breathing due to asthma. On asking if she'd been given her inhaler, the deputy and room leader had to consult because no-one knew if she'd been given the inhaler at home.
Salbutamol cannot be overdosed on. Too much may cause slight shaking as its a stimulant. Not enough salbutamol in this situation can be dire. If a child is struggling to breath, wheezing, breathing through their stomach and lethargic, please give the inhaler.
