Hi,
I'm sorry you are suffering so much! Have you thought about doing NVQ level 3? You could get a paid job in a setting & then do your NVQ while working. This is the way I am doing it as I have a mortgage to pay & couldnt afford to go to college full time. I have an assesor that comes to the setting to see me & I do the work at home, & I dont have any exams!
Once you have your level 2 you could apply for Nursery Assistant posts! Dont give up!!
Hope this helps, even just a little!!

Hi Joanie
Once you have your level 2 you can apply for level 3, However, level 3 requires that candidates should be working in a level 3 capacity for a minimum of 6 months. This is to ensure that you are comfortable running a team, can instruct support on observations, know your policies and procedures so that you can take prospective clients through the nursery with confidence, you will also be required to ensure that Risk assessments are in place and adhered to etc., etc.,
Any course that you undertake requires committment, resilience and nowdays has to be combined with running a home, work, and family. Childcare is not an easy field to undertake as the standards are always changing and you will find that you are constantly having to update your knowledge with courses, to include change of practice with new legislation - such as the EYFS - all this will be in your own time and much of it!! But if you really enjoy working with children, then this is the path to continue with. But it is not an easy one as you are finding out!
I wish you much luck with your level 2, keep going.
