I am doing my foundation degree. It is my own business.
If any of my staff were doing it they would not be given any time off for study leave. Why?
because we all work 4 x days and have therefore a day off including weekends per week. This works very well.
Also staffing the nursery would be difficult as you have to stick to ratios.
I do have staff doing nvq3s at college and I allow them to leave 1 hour early per week in order to get home have tea and get there, other people on courses I have noticed finish work at 6pm and go straight to college (myself included the night I have to go)
so all I am saying is dont be so harsh on your employer there are usually reasons for things. (unless they are usually unfair about most things of course.
