I tend to enjoy working in nurseries more when the manager / owner treats you like a person and not just one of many employees or just a number.
I have found it much more enjoyable to work in nurseries where there are staff of a wide range of ages, different backgrounds and both men and women. It is also more enjoyable when there is not a high turn over of staff.
This is just my personal view, but I have found that I much prefer working in nurseries that are not part of a chain. I also have found it more enjoyable to work in nurseries, but this is my personal experience only, that in are smaller as it feels more personal, both for the staff and for the children in our care and their families.
