Pandemic - 31-10-05 11:08As a student Nurse two methods:
1. Strict hand washing (might sound basic - but vitally important).
2. Isolation of infected children / adults : e.g. if a childs ill they shouldn't be in the nursery!
I understand as a past nursery nurse no. 2 above can be difficult when parents need to go to work and do not want to take the time off (most probably as need money) - but if the child was allowed to stay an infected a significant other children the nursery would have to close anyway.
