the ratio for kids club is 1:8 for under eights.
however if they have eg 16 under 8's then they require 2 x staff
if they also have even 1 more child over 8 then they require another member of staff as the older child is impinging on the lower child ratio.
good practice is to have 3 x staff for 20 children.
previous post is correct if all the children are over 8 there are no legal guidelines, however the insurance may insist on a 2 person policy. why dont you ask what their ratios are?

You're right - it is a 1:8 ratio. At the moment there are no regulations in place regarding the care of over 8's. Certainly, the requirements of the National Standards only place a duty on providers to ensure that the care of over 8's does not adversely affect the care of the under 8's.
