I believe the requirement for observations has been removed for childminders. However it could still be deemed good practice to note development points in your daily diary and use these when thinking of activities and extending play.

The EYFS is no different to the birth to three and foundation stage. Plan your activities and outings as usual and you will find you are meeting most of the requirement. You can they tweak them to attain any you miss out.

Thanks for your reply would love to find out if the observations have been removed. I agree with doing the EYFS but I think that I am not qualified to label a child as we all know children learn and develop at different stages of there life. I wonder where I can find out if the obs have been taken out any idea from who?
