Infant/primary teachers

Hello I was wondering if anyone has any ideas for routes into infant/priamry teaching. I am currently a second year degree student hoping to do a P.G.C.E afterwards, however I do not have a G.C.S.E in Science.

if you were born 1979 or after you do need science GCSE I am afraid, althouh some course providers can work a way around this . contact the uni's.

Hiya i have done my childrens care, learning and development level 3 (CCLD) and am currently doing my maths and science GCSEs from home with oxford open learning (distance learning). I will be sitting my exams next year and hopefully will get a C in each. I initially got a D in each a few marks off a C and when i looked into teaching i was told i need to have a C in english which i have and the maths and science to be able to do any degree and so i started the course. But now i have been told i can go do a teaching course that i can do if i already have a CCLD level 3. Anyone know anything about this? is this true? please respond thanks

PGCE requires the mentioned GCSE's to apply, this is only one route into teaching but not sure about necessary entry requirements for other routes- try TDA website
