My work colleague and business partner Nursery Manager brought her child to nursery and it worked very well. She never challenged the staff unless it was a problem any parent would react to e.g. her child came one day in a brand new jumper only for a member of staff to lose it. When it turned up someone had written a big 'N' for nursery in the back, assuming it was a gift! Altogether we had about seven children belonging to staff and it was never a problem as long as the staff worked in a separate room and upheld and indeed trusted the other staff to deal with their children.
