The activities that you could do with the children and not involved others necessarily are Singing and saying rhymes, most children will respond to music.
Stories and books, either read to the children or make up stories of your own, props of toys or even children can be used to tell the story. Have a toy, doll or other object a pebble with a face drawn on it and tell a story using this item. see how the children will respond.
Play dough is easy, sticky pictures using pasta, rice, string, wool or any other materials that may be around, this can also capture the childrens imagination. Most children love Glueing!!!
