Hi helen613,
The average working day for Nursery Nurses these days is 8 a day, that is a 40 hour week.Even in a supervisory role you would be expected to be with the children for that time, unless your numbers were low and you could be out of ratio. Unfortunately very few will get non contact time to do planning, paperwork etc, you are expected to do it in your daily routine, ie sleep times, or to take it home. Unfortunately, nursery nurses do not usually have the luxury that teachers do with non contact time.
