Hi, i used to be a day nursery manager, but went into training and am now not working. I used to love my job - i lived, breathed and ate my job, i was out every saturday buying books, spending most of my spare time drawing pictures for colouring, cuting shapes for sticking, planning...the list goes on - but you know what? the best job in the world!!!!
No, we wont ever get the pay we deserve - basically, we are surrogate parents for 8 hours a day 51 weeks a year. we sometimes have more input into a child's life then the parents do - but hey, dont get me wrong, im not blaming parents for leaving the children with us - its a tough old life out there!
Anyhow, i love the job - just wish i could find a part time managers post (have own child to look after now), sadly tis not meant to be :O(
take care all
Traci xx
