All the things that everyone has mentioned are really valuable ideas. It's not alway possible for nurseries (especially small ones) to offer cash incentives, and extra days off etc.
Some other suggestions are things like providing some regular non-contact time each week for staff to write up observations or do prep work, etc. Some settings close a room early one day, and allow that team to have time to plan together.
Other motivators are things like giving people reponsibilities or challenges, and let people implement their own ideas. This shows that their strengths are really valued.
