Hello girls...

I have registered on here to find plenty of other Leapfrog employees that are obviously not happy with the way Leapfrog Nurseries are working.
Let me tell you an update on my situation..
Last Thursday i was sat down in a staff meeting with all my work collegues including my deputy and manager to have a statement read out to us by our Area Manager and Roweana from HR. They are proposing to close our nursery down as from the 30th September.
Redundancy will only be given to employees over 20 and who have worked for the company over 2 years... so basically 70% of my nursery will not be getting a payout, including myself.
Our nursery (ex Jigsaw), was brought out just over 18months ago by leapfrog, who knew another Leapfrog nursery was less than a mile away! They spent no money, funding on the building, no new toys, books, batteries for the toys!!!, the girls spent there own money on packs of paper for the photocopier, laminating sheets and definately NO REFURB which we were promised 18 months ago!

Letters were sent out to parents on the Thursday and they would recieve them on the friday morning before they brought the children into nursery. Area Man told us we would basically have to stand in nursery in the morning and answer the parents questions.. even tho the majority of the girls were still in shock of being told we're lost our jobs the evening before!

There was no-one from Headoffice, no area manager..NO ONE there the following morning to be there for the parents and also for us! Complete shambles!

Transferring children to the other leapfrogs situated around is a nightmare at the moment. Parents are getting together and hoping to go to the press with this as they are not getting anywhere!

Parents are asking me and others would we send our own children to a leapfrog and TBH... No Way!

Leapfrog (i have been told by ex area Man) are in dire needs. Their finaces are completly under water and they are crying for help.

We have currently had no support from anyone from head office in BU trent. We have even been told that if we have taken too much holiday it will be taken back in pay next month!

Leapfrog.... i would honestly say after this experience is the worst company to work for ever!
