I would not like to sound rude but are you all worried about doing assignments? What if you had to do a tradicional degree in teacher training, where assignments are just "pecata minuta" (the tip of the iceberg), and you have to go to lectures 5 days a week for 3 whole years? To me, you would worry about reading, revising, sitting loads of exams (both written and oral) and not having a job.
A colleague of mine is doing a 2 year Foundation degree and sits no exams. Lectures, 1 day a week for 4 hrs. She can work full time and the only thing she does is assigments. Do you think her "work" is commendable as any teacher who has trained in a more traditional and academic way?
