I'm not happy with it. When my children were small I had a choice of where they went and what they were taught, how they were catered for etc. With the EYFS being statatory parents choice has gone, schools such as Steiner and Montessori will be in conflic with the EYFS and I know from experience that some settings will use tick lists rather than informed observations. A good idea badly planned in my opinion. I have signed the petition in hope rather than expectation that anything will change. Men in suits appear to know better than us at the chalk face it would seem.
